- No gate to design Open a blank tank the second you install. No account, no email capture, no social sign-in standing between you and the first hardscape line.
- Local glass, local files Dimensions, plant shortlists, equipment notes, and stocking drafts stay in on-device storage. We do not sync them to a community feed or mine them for ads.
- Permissions on a short leash Camera roll, microphone, contacts, and live location stay unused. Notifications appear only when you invent your own water-change or filter-clean reminders.
Scope
This policy covers the Aquarium Designer iOS app distributed on the App Store and the public pages hosted on this domain — for everyone who installs the app or reads this site.
What the app works with
Aquarium Designer does not ask for your legal name, email address, phone number, postal address, government ID, or payment credentials to run its planning tools.
Tank specs, aquascape sketches, species shortlists, and free-form notes remain on your device. That private studio book is not uploaded to our servers for profiling, analytics, or resale.
The app may fetch optional public material — for example an informational popup tip — from this site. Those responses are generic; nothing from your private designs is sent upstream.
Device permissions
Aquarium Designer may request notification access so you can hear maintenance reminders or parameter check-ins that you configured yourself.
Microphone, contacts, photo library, and precise location are not requested unless a future release needs them and this policy is updated first.
Local storage and basic network access keep the studio running and allow optional public tips. Crash diagnostics handled by Apple follow App Store privacy rules.
Third parties
Infrastructure providers host this policy page and the public API route. They may keep routine server logs for security and uptime under their own policies.
If analytics or support tooling is added later, each vendor will be named here, and sharing will stay limited to what that tool needs to operate.
Age
Aquarium Designer is meant for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal details from children. If a minor saved data by mistake, reach us through the App Store support channel and we will help clear it where we can.
Retention and security
Saved tanks, layouts, and reminders stay under your control on the device. Delete a project in-app or uninstall to wipe local storage.
We take reasonable steps to protect the pages and server pieces we operate. No system is perfectly sealed — treat detailed scape notes like a private sketchbook.
Your choices
Stop using Aquarium Designer whenever you like. Mute alerts or revoke optional permissions in iOS Settings if you want a quieter tank desk.
